What Happens at a Spin Class?
Spin or cycling classes are becoming more and more popular at athletic clubs. However, many people have questions about just what to expect at a spin class. Besides the fact that you’ll be on a stationary bike for 45 minutes to an hour, it’s difficult to know just what your spin class will entail. In short, you can expect all kinds of interval training and even riding in different positions to target specific muscles. Our classes might include seated and standing work, depending on the instructor and the content of that day’s class. Here are some of our tips for making your fitness class a success:
- Sign up for your class well in advance
- Wear light clothes
- Arrive 15 minutes early to meet your instructor
- Expect sweat—and maybe even choose clothes made from sweat-wicking fabric
