Help shape your child into a confident swimmer in a fun, small group setting with our certified swimming instructors. Group swim lessons at Colorado Athletic Club – Boulder teach your children to confidently navigate independent swimming in a series of 25-minute lessons. Each level builds foundational swimming skills and will prepare your child for the more advanced Stroke School.
Please read the level descriptions carefully and select the level that best fits your child. If you are unsure, we’re happy to schedule a time to evaluate your child and fit them into the appropriate level.
Level 1
No prerequisites except a willingness to learn. This level helps young swimmers develop confidence in the water. Capped at 4 swimmers.
Level 2
Children must be able to swim independently with their face in the water. This level teaches young swimmers the rudiments of freestyle and backstroke as well as deep-water bobbing. Capped at 6 swimmers.
Level 3
Must be able to independently swim about half the length of the pool, freestyle and backstroke with use of arms and a flutter kick. Swimmers will learn breaststroke and the basics of butterfly as well as simple diving techniques.

Stroke School
Stroke School at Colorado Athletic Club – Boulder is the perfect swim program for youngsters to advance their swimming skills and refine stroke technique. Our coaches will help fine tune freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, and butterfly and will introduce concepts and terminology used in swim team.
Your child should be able to swim length of the pool comfortably and have the basics of all 4 strokes. These 40 minute classes will prepare them for swim team or advanced independent swim.
